Destroy All Humans! 2 Remake Moves the Series to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S

There isn’t much to say that hasn’t been said yet since PlayStation inadvertently leaked the announcement before THQ Nordic’s show, but we can at least confirm that Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed is happening.

Unlike the previous game that made it to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X/S, the next title will only be available on PC and current-gen consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S), at least according to THQ Nordic.

Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed is a full remake of the original game, adding and improving features while rebuilding the game from scratch in Unreal Engine 4 visuals. The game is in development at Black Forest Games, the same studio responsible for Fade to Silence, Titan Quest, and Destroy All Humans!

THQ Nordic Revives the Jagged Alliance Series After More Than a Decade

THQ Nordic acquired quite a few studios and IPs in the last couple of years, so it’s no wonder that it has so many great games in the works. During its 10th anniversary digital showcase, the publisher revealed several major titles that will make it to PC and consoles in the coming months.

One of the nice surprises is Jagged Alliance 3, the third installment in the series set to arrive on PC more than a decade after the previous title made its debut. Developed by Haemimont Games (Tropico, Surviving Mars, Victor Vran), Jagged Alliance 3 is closer to the original formula that made the Jagged Alliance series popular among fans of the tactical turn-based genre.

Presented as a true successor to the beloved series, Jagged Alliance 3 puts players in the shoes of a leader who commands a mercenary organization in the fictional country of Grand Chien, a land ravaged by a brutal paramilitary force known as “the Legion.”

Outcast 2 – A New Beginning Announced for PC and Consoles

THQ Nordic has decided to revive the Outcast series, which hasn’t received a new title in more than a decade. Outcast 2 – A New Beginning is a third-person, open world, action-adventure sequel to the 1999 cult classic, which you should definitely play even after all these years.

Outcast 2 – A New Beginning is in development at Belgium-based Appeal Studios, the original creators behind Outcast (1999). The studio was founded three years ago, and it was acquired by THQ Nordic back in May.

The upcoming game has the same protagonist, Cutter Slade, who’s now returning to the alien world of Adelpha for another adventure. Resurrected by the Yods, Slade has returned to find the inhabitants of the world enslaved and the Adelpha stripped of its natural resources, so it’s up to him to go on a mission and save the planet once again.

Microsoft Releases September 2021 Update for the Surface Duo

Microsoft has released a new software update for the Surface Duo, the company’s first Android device in history and whose successor is about to launch as soon as the next week.

The Redmond-based tech giant hasn’t included too many improvements in the September 2021 update for the dual-screen Android device, as the changelog indicates it only addresses the security glitches detailed by Google in the original Android security bulletin.

In other words, Microsoft has decided to stick with the improvements included by Google in the original September 2021 security patch, though on the other hand, you should keep in mind the Surface Duo is still running Android 10.

Microsoft indeed promised to bring Android 11 to the Surface Duo, but no ETA has been provided, and right now, all the efforts seem to be on getting the next-generation model ready for prime time.

iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB Facing Strong Demand Despite Whopping Price

Apple has started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 13 lineup, and unsurprisingly, the shipping of some particular models is already being pushed back due to the strong demand.

In theory, customers who rushed to pre-order the iPhone 13 shortly after the Apple Store page went live should receive their shiny new smartphones next Friday.

But given the demand, Apple is now pushing back the shipping times, with some devices set to arrive in the hands of their new owners in October.

One of these models is none other than the 1TB iPhone 13 Pro Max, which in the United States costs a whopping $1,599.

While some believe the phone is just too expensive, others want to get it by any means, and judging from the shipping times in the Apple Store, there’s a chance quite a lot of people ordered one.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1TB now ships between October 6 – October 11, according to Apple.

We Should All Thank the iPhone 13 for Making 5G More Mainstream

Just like the iPhone 12 series, all iPhone 13 models announced by Apple earlier this week come with 5G support, with the parent company promising even faster speeds in select regions.

GlobalData analyst Anisha Bhatia says in a newsletter that iPhone 13 is very likely to speed up the adoption of 5G technology across the world, especially because it’s expected to sell in big numbers. And given the entire lineup comes with such capabilities, customers have no other option than to get a device supporting 5G in the first place.

In addition to the iPhone 13, Apple keeping some iPhone 12 models on the market, obviously at lower prices, will also boost the adoption of 5G connectivity overall.

“Apple’s new iPhone 13 will be a boost for 5G adoption. Unlike Android, iOS users lack a strong selection of 5G devices. The iPhone 13 family is a welcome addition for consumers looking to upgrade. Rival Samsung has a robust selection of 5G phones across price tiers and is top of min… (read more)

Some People Have to Pay Almost $3,000 to Get the Top iPhone 13 Pro Max

iPhone 13 is now available for pre-order, and just as expected, the device is already selling like hotcakes in many regions across the world.

And while the shipping wouldn’t start earlier than the next Friday, it’s not hard to anticipate that the cheapest version of each model is likely to be among the best-selling devices this year.

But on the other hand, as it happens every year, the iPhone 13 is cheaper in some countries and more expensive in others, all due to things like taxes and everything else that eventually make a smartphone worth a small fortune.

The best example in this regard is none other than Brazil, as the iPhone 13 Pro Max comes with a massive price tag in this country. The 128GB version of the Pro Max, which is the base configuration this year, can be yours in Brazil for close to $2,000.

Whooping 1TB price

And of course, if you need more storage and plan to buy the 1TB version, you’d better not go to Brazil and get it from the … (read more)
