Microsoft has issued a reminder that Windows 10 version 2004 is approaching the end of support, with the company therefore recommending users to move to a newer version of the operating system.
Windows 10 version 2004 will therefore stop getting updates on December 14, and Microsoft says that updating is pretty much the only option to make sure you still receive critical security updates.
“On December 14, 2021, all editions of Windows 10, version 2004 and Windows Server, version 2004 will reach end of servicing. After that date, devices running these editions will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates containing protections from the latest security threats,” Microsoft explains.
Needless to say, Microsoft killing off Windows 10 version 2004 is an opportunity for the company to recommend the switch to Windows 11.
