Windows 11 is finally up for grabs for eligible devices, but on the other hand, not everybody will be provided with the new operating system on day one.
This is because Microsoft is using a phased rollout to discover potential bugs early and prevent them from hitting a bigger number of devices.
But on the other hand, some computers aren’t eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 11, simply because they don’t meet the new system requirements.
Microsoft says only new hardware should run Windows 11, while everybody else is recommended to stick with Windows 10, which will continue to be supported just like before until October 2025, according to the original schedule.
