The demand for the new-generation iPhones is still strong, though, at the same time, Apple itself is also struggling with a shortage problem caused by the lack of certain components.
Apple too is struggling with the global chip crisis, and the company is now looking into all kinds of approaches that would allow the company to align the production with the demand.
In other words, Apple wants to make more iPhones, and it wants to do it now.
One of the solutions the company has turned to, according to a report from Nikkei, is cutting the iPad production in order to prioritize the iPhone 13 production. This means some components that would normally be used for making new iPads would now end up being installed on the iPhone 13.
This approach makes perfect sense.
